Hello again,

two posts in one day... this is starting to become a habit!!

I just wanted to show you all my Quotes pages from my SMASH* book. Again, the pages weren't to my taste and were quite plain for what I wanted to do with these quotes so I covered them up. That is the beauty of SMASH*ing, you can do what YOU want. You could cover all the pages or some of them or none of them. Its all entirely up to you. I am only covering the ones that I can't really 'work' with for whatever it is I am doing on that page.

I cut the flowers and the word Quotes using my CraftRobo and love how they turned out. I am also now addicted to making these little ribbon paperclip things! I love how the jazz up my pages.

Hello everyone,

how are you all doing?

Well I am now 100% addicted to SMASH*ing! I can't help it.
There is a Facebook page now as well and now all I ever think/talk about is SMASH*ing!

If I am not SMASH*ing then I planning what I am going to SMASH* or I am on Pinterest pinning things I want to SMASH* and find inspirational. If I am not doing that then I am printing and cutting pics to SMASH*. Addicted is not the word....

Anyone that knows me personally will know that I am a HUGE Peter Andre fan!!! I do love his music but I love him for HIM!!!! I think he is a true gentlemen and absolutely the ideal man so it was obvious he wasn't just going to feature in my book but was going to have his own pages!!!

I didn't really like the paper on these pages so I covered them up using my stash and set to work. I think I could squeeze in a lot more on these pages but I am resisting the urge!!!!!!

Wallet Card

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing? Good I hope!

Still trying to get my cardmaking back on track and signed up for another swap on Do Crafts site. If you are not a member of this fabulous site then I can highly recommend it! I have been a member of various crafts sites/forums and I always return to Do Crafts. There is no clicks like there are on other sites. If you post a question or query you never know who is going to answer. There are some people who post on there regularly and are on there everyday but you can join in their conversations quite easily and they really are a friendly bunch!

Anyway back to the wallet card swap. I signed up for this as well as this is always brilliant fun, you may remember I done a few of these swaps last year as well!! I love them. You put your name down, get allocated your partner then you swap addresses (and set a swap theme if you want!). If you don't know how to make a wallet card then please visit Redrottie's Wallet Card Tutorial and you will see how simple these are to make.

Again I had new papers that I really wanted to use. This time the colour scheme was soo outwith my comfort zone but I think I managed to tie it all in, what do you think?

Here is an arty farty side view of the wallet card. I can't show you the goodies inside as you might get jealous but I can tell you there was a few different bits and bobs in there.

Everyone at the moment seems to be creating a really high standard of colouring and I have been trying (when I have time) to read/watch various tutorials on the best ways to do this. Obviously everyone's style is different but I wanted to bring my colouring up to speed. Have you seen some of the colouring out there just now (OMG!!!!), there is no way I will ever be as good as that but then I don't have a whole load of spare time that I can spend to practice my colouring. If I can get to grips with the shading etc then I will be a bit happier with my colouring techniques. I am getting there slowly, what do you think??

I have been trying to imagine where the light is coming from and where the shadows etc would be but I am not that good with it, I seem somewhere that someone had a piece of paper where she had drawn a light bulb and she would place her stamped image on this piece of paper and have the light bulb coming from wherever she wanted her light source to be. I may have to do something like that!!

Hello again,

2 posts in one day?! I am spoiling you!!

I wanted to share another 2 pages of my SMASH* book with you all.

I have got some of the SMASH* notebooks and was playing around with these on Christmas Eve when I was bored (can you tell I don't have kids?!). I filled in some of the pages in relation to music as I knew I wanted to do something in regards to music in my book as I am such a music lover.

I have finally put these pages together and absolutely love how they have turned out!!

Have you started SMASH*ing yet?? I highly recommend it!

I know some people are making their own version of SMASH* books but this is not something that interests me just now. I may be inspired once I have finished the SMASH* books I have but at the moment I am having fun with these ready made books. Some of the pages really aren't to my taste but I will cover them up and do something with them.

Friendship Card

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I have been trying to get back into my cardmaking as it has fallen by the wayside recently to say the least! I only seem to be making cards when someone asks me to and I am ashamed to admit that when it is a family/friend member's birthday I am buying shop bought cards! HELLOOO!! Craft room to Carrie.. you have a whole room full of lovelies so why waste money on shop bought card crap! (No offence to any card shop owners/workers who may stumble across this blog post!!)

I decided to have a look on Do Crafts to see what swaps/challenges were on just now and stumbled across the Friendship Card Swap. This is a brilliant idea and a lot of people join in so I signed myself up for it. After the closing date I got my swap partner and went to work on a card. I had some new papers which had never been used before and this is the card that I came up with for my swap partner...

Now I am looking back on this card I don't think I like the tipped flowers which I done using Promarkers but I am still happy with this card. This was also the first time I had used these papers and the first time I had used pearls on my cards. I am very much a rhinestone/crystal/bling girl so using pearls was strange for me! I did manage to get the glitter in there though so it wasn't to dull for my eyes lol.

As I am making my blue book all about me, I decided that I had to have a page all about my beauty essentials. I am low maintenance to an extent but there is some beauty items that I will not go without and this is what these pages were about.

My SMASH* Adventure - Part 1 - Disney Pages

A couple of weeks ago I had never even heard of SMASH* books but now I am completely and utterly hooked to them and it is all Carlyann's fault!
She started adding all these pages to her blog which were amazing and they totally caught my eye. I am quite nosey and had to ask her what all these amazing pages and there started my addiction! Thanks Carlyann lol.

I ordered 2 books, a mini book and loads of accessories and sat and waited patiently on my order arriving.... Yeah right who am I kidding?! I didn't wait patiently at all.. I was literally jumping on my post woman every morning! My order arrived 2 days later and I couldn't wait to open it all up!!
What I was prepared for was how gorgeous all the papers inside are! I honestly didn't know which book to start with or what to base it on etc...

Luckily I saw a post on a Facebook page I am a part of and a challenge had been set on there simply called Disney! I am a HUGE Walt Disney fan (I'm a big kid!!!) and I just had to sign up for this challenge. So I had what my first page was going to be, now all I had to do is choose what book to use. I finally decided on the blue book and want to share my Disney pages with you.

This is the front cover of the blue book, I am going to alter this front cover but I have no idea as yet what I am going to do with it...

It is safe to say that my blue book is going to have an "All About Me" theme which is fine as a lot of people are dedicating whole book/s to themselves. Who else knows us as well as we know ourselves.

I have done some research on SMASH* books and everyone is doing theirs completely differently. Some people have craft inspiration books, all about me books, a year in my life books, or a mixture of loads of different things. There is so many ideas out there! SMASH*ing is like scrapbooking but I find it soo much easier. I can't do scrapbooking at all, I like randomness and throwing things together and I think scrapbooking looks best when it is clean and clear so it just didn't suit me.

There is only one rule of SMASH*ing.... There is no right or wrong way of doing it!!

You should all definately look into SMASH*ing and if you do decide to start your own SMASH* journey please let me know so I can check out your pages.

Boyzone Christmas Card

Hello again everyone,

I forgot to show you all this card.

One of the woman I know from online is a massive Boyzone fan. Her name is Wendy and she runs a fan page on Facebook for the boys, mainly Ronan but she features all the boys on it.
Wendy contacted me and asked if I would be able to come up with a design for some Boyzone Christmas cards featuring her favourite picture of the boys. The problem was that Wendy lives in Amsterdam so I couldn't make the cards bulky like I would normally do with handmade cards. They had to be quite lightweight as she wanted a few of them.
I decided that the majority of the card had to be done using the computer in order that I could print out the picture and the greeting. and that way the only bulky part would be the ribbon and (of course!!) the bling! You have got to have the bling.

Here is the card...

I had to make a few of these but they were all the same so I only took a picture of one of the cards. Wendy loved the cards which is the main thing.

Christmas Cards

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas?

I just wanted to show you quickly some cards I had made before Christmas. These were orders from friends and were done soo quickly as I was very short on time.

These cards were made using some Christmas stamps I got on Ebay about a year and a half ago...

The stamps were a very good buy as I got them from a seller in Hong Kong so got them ridiculously cheap and I have honestly used the stamps soo many times. I have even had people ordering them as Christmas tags after I made a batch for myself to put onto Christmas presents.

This next lot of cards were all computerised. I don't normally make whole cards on the computer but I was very short on time and had to make them quickly. I never had time to stamp an image, colour it and then think of layouts etc. My friend who ordered them was chuffed with them so that is the main thing I suppose.

I think this is the only card I made this year which featured a stamped image...

I really must make time in 2012 to handmake some Christmas cards. I always leave it until the last minute. I have a terrible habit at the moment in that I do not make cards for my friends and family and only really my closest relatives get handmade cards like my mum etc. How terrible is that?? They all get shop bought ones.. shock horror!!!! Now I have made the confession I really am going to have to do something about it!! I am asked quite a lot why I don't give handmade cards and the answer is always the same ... I just don't have the time to make them.

I think I will need to think up a quickish design that I can make up in bulk for friends and family and then do the normal 'special' cards for the other family members! If I start early enough then I should be able to achieve it.... we shall see!!

Christmas Eve

Quick and Easy Altered Notebook

I love altering items especially notebooks but haven't done one for a while. While I was sorting out my craft room I came across this beautiful silver sparkly heart card... I just had to make something with it. I couldn't bear to cover the cardstock with any images or anything so I decided to leave it plain. I say plain but as you can see it is not plain at all...

Stamps - New and Old

Hello.

Last week I was having a moan to my hubby about how I never seem to have time to make cards these days and how I don't have any of the new stamp ranges that are out just now and I decided at that moment to order some LOTV stamps, some even from the brand new range!!

I have already mounted these stamps and as soon as I have finished my xmas orders I am going to have a cardmaking frenzy!!

I have so many stamps that I have never used... I do like them but the opportunity has never arisen for me to use them.
While sorting out my craft stuff for my craft room I came across these S.W.A.L.K stamps, they have never been mounted and never been used!!! Shocking!!! I am going to mount them at some point this weekend and then I will definately be using them in my cardmaking frenzy! I bought these stamps at the Hobbycrafts fair at the SECC in March (2011!!), how terrible is that??? Never even used or taken out the packet!

There is a lot more stamps that have never been used including some Tilda ones!!!!!!! I need to start using my stash more! Please tell me there are things you have in your craft collection that you haven't used?

Bracelets

Hey everyone,
I am back again! Yeah!!! If your a follower of my blog then you will know I love trying loads of different things in relation to craft and don't like sticking to the one thing all the time. You will notice from previous posts that I have been dabbling in jewellery making, well I have now fallen hook, line and sinker for making bracelets. Here are some I have made recently.

If I get any spare time at all I always make some bracelets and love playing around, I honestly don't think I will ever get sick of playing around with the beads and creating different designs etc. I now have quite a collection of beads and charms as well as bracelets made up. I am hoping to do some craft fairs and car boot sales in 2012 so I will be taking these with me.

Moving House

Hey everyone,

Hope your all well.

I am soo soo sorry I have not been about for a little while but things have been very very hectic here for me. I have just moved house (just on Saturday) so everything is up in the air at the moment.

The great thing about this move is that I will now have my own craft room!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!! This is something only few crafters are able to get due to family commitments etc so I am very very lucky to be able to have this opportunity, although when I have kids then I will need to give the room up for the kiddies and make my space in the cupboard or something!!

The only downside at the moment with my craft room is that I can't put all my time and effort into having it how I want... I have xmas orders to do so once these are out the way then I will be able to have a proper think of what units etc I want. I can work with what I have got at the moment as that is what I worked with in my old house, although it was all stored in a large cupboard and now it can all be spread out!

I will try and remember to take piccies of the xmas orders I am doing as some of the stuff is new designs and I will try and keep this blog up to date, even if just quick uploads to show you designs etc.

Super Easy Post It Note Holders

How are you all doing?

I have a Ladie's Night coming up and have been working on stock for my table. I absolutely love making post it note holders (I have so many that I make for myself) and usually make the ones with the pens. I wanted to make an alternative to this so that people have more options (and a cheaper priced option) when they come to my table so I made these super quick post it note holders.

This is not my original idea and I am sure there are many different variations of how to do these but this is how I do them. They are sooo easy, I promise!

Here is a look at some of the quick post it notes holders I have made. You can have them plain like I have done here or you could have stamped images and ribbon etc on them. I normally have stamped images and ribbon on my post it note with pen holders. I will at some point get put up a tutorial for these as well as they are easy to make as well.

This is my little sample card on how to make these super quick post it note holders. This is all you need to know.....

This could be the quickest easiest tutorial ever lol. Just a sheet of card is all you need! lol.

From here all you need to do is fold your score lines, decorate the front... I used patterned paper cut at 3"x3.25" and then put your post it notes inside! I use a full pack of post it notes and glue the back page to adhere these to the cover.

Super easy!

Hello again!!

Three posts in three days! It is soo not like me, I am in shock now, are you?

As you know I love to show you my crystal designs especially when it is one of my new designs. However, I find with my designs that once I have done something and uploaded the pics then a load of people order it so there is no point in me taking piccies and uploading them to my blog and Facebook fanpage as everyone has already seen them so I absolutely love it when someone comes along and asks me for something different. It means I can take piccies and show them to you all! Yay!

I loved doing this smurfette crystal image, she is soo cute!

I will try and keep up with regular posting but it won't be every single day I am afraid although I would love to, I just don't have the time!

Wedding Wine Glass Charms

Just a quick post to show you these wedding wine glass charms I made.

I am absolutely addicted to making wine glass charms at the moment and couldn't resist making these faux pearl ones when I received the bride and groom charms.

Look how cool they look on the wine glasses! Love them!!!!! Wish I had these when I got married!!! May have to talk the hubby into renewing our vows lol.

Me to You Bear Cards

Wow it has been soo long since I was last on here. I have been soo busy with loads of various things and haven't had the time to come on. I really need to try and always make time to come on here and post. I absolutely love checking out everyone's blogs as well as finding new blogs to follow so it makes sense for me to come on more! I am really going to try over the next few weeks so you will me posting on your blogposts etc .... I promise!!!

Anyway I came on to show you these 3 cards one of my customers ordered. She wanted 3 cards all using the same Me to You bear image! Eek!!!!

She wanted a birthday card, new baby girl card and an I Love You card.

She absolutely loved them, thank goodness!! What do you think?

I kept them all quite simple as that is the kind of look I am into and luckily she liked them so seems to be a job well done.

Wine Glass Charms

Personalised Bag/Tunic Charms

Happy September Weekend!

I absolutely love long weekends and I have a lot planned for this weekend and no crafting!!

I wanted to show you these personalised bag/tunic charms that I made. I am sure there are items very similar to this out there but I did not copy anyone with this, I simply put the charms on and haven't done much else so I am very sure there will be people who have similar items to this as it isn't a design as such! No doubt if I make more of these I will make them different and have some beads etc added to them.

I absolutely love the little manicure kit charm with the little nail polish dangling down!

Stephen Gateley Memorial Bracelets

Hey everyone.

Just a quick post from me today to show you these bracelets.

One of my friends is a massive Boyzone fan and her favourite member was Stephen Gateley, who was called Steo by the boyz and the fans. The 2nd anniversary of his death is on 10th October and my friend asked me to make her a memorial bracelet for Steo. I came up with this design first...

And then this one...

There was only 2 specifications and that was that the colour red featured (Steo's favourite colour) and that the name Steo was on it.

I have had orders from other Boyzone fans since posting pics of these bracelets and I am glad to help them in the remembering of a very beautiful human being who passed far too soon!

I have been working on a few different things lately but mostly stuff (like tags!) that you have all already seen so didn't want to post pictures etc of them as you have already seen them.

As I have said in previous posts I have been dabbling in jewellery making, to be more specific bracelet making! I decided that I wanted to try some new things and made this anklet for myself.

I had no idea what I wanted on it so just added a few charms, beads and of course a catch to enable me to take on/off the anklet.

What do you think?

Didn't I tell you that I would be back with some wedding cards?! Well, it wasn't just a false statement and I am actually back to show you. It is going to be a very short and sweet blogpost from me today and I am afraid it might have to be that way for a little while as I am soo busy!

Anyway onto these cards,

One of my friends asked me to make her a wedding card for a wedding at the end of the month. I wasn't too sure what kind of card she wanted so I just kind of went with the flow and ended up making the 3 of these cards yesterday morning!!

She loved them all but has picked the lilac one. The other cards will be bagged up and added to my box of stock for craft fairs... if I ever have time to do a craft fair lol.

Altered Notebook

I FINALLY tidied my craft desk and sorted out all my craft stuff into some sort of order yesterday and was soo inspired last night that I decided to colour this Kenny K digi and make a quick altered notebook....

There is soo much more I could have done with this but wanted to keep it quite plain and have the ribbons coming out the top!

Jewellery Making

I am absolutely ridiculous at the moment in keeping this blog up to date. I have been soo busy lately but a lot of it has been my own fault in a way as well. I decided that there was soo many pretty bracelets out there that I really couldn't keep buying them all the time as my hubby was getting a bit ratty with all the jewellery I was buying so I decided to buy some beads instead and try and make my own! OH MY GOODNESS... BIG MISTAKE!!!! I am now absolutely addicted to making bracelets and almost everyday I am buying more supplies. I thought I would show you all some of the bracelets I have been making.

This first one is one of mine that I made last week and the rest have been made as little samples. I have already received orders etc for bracelets for Christmas so I must be doing something right. There is soo many people out there making and selling jewellery and I never intended to sell my jewellery but after wearing some of my bracelets and putting them on Facebook queries started coming in so I couldn't turn people away, could I?

In the last week I have even attempted to make a memory wire bracelet using white pearl beads and swarovski crystals.. what do you think?? I am quite happy with it for my first memory wire bracelet.

I didn't want to put a Good Luck greeting on both cards so I went with a You Rock greeting for my card. I love this image from Sugar Nellie and knew I had to use it. I wrote inside the card 'Good Luck, we know you will rock High School'. This was a bit of a challenging card but I am soo thrilled with how it worked out.

I had an idea of what I was wanting to do with my mum's card and she wanted the greeting to say Good Luck At High School. I knew roughly in my head what I wanted to do but I couldn't decide what image to use so I ended up on Google looking for copyright free school images and came across this Bart Simpson kids colouring page which was copyright free. It was perfect, my little brother loves The Simpsons so it all fell into place lovely.

That is all I have to show you just now but I will try and come back at some point during the week to show you what I have been working on.

Cupcake Wrappers

Oh my goodness!!! It has been soo long since I was last on here... I am soo sorry everyone. I wish I could say I am coming back with a bang and have millions of pictures to show you but I don't.

I haven't really being doing much to be honest... I took the whole of July, yes you read that correctly, I took the whole of July off. Although I was still doing my full time job I didn't do a lot of crafting and didn't do any orders. Okay I may have done one or two lol.

I have been getting to know my CraftRobo though and I am beginning to wonder how I ever got any work done without it! I am in love. I don't even know how to do half the stuff I want to do on it but I am still learning and absolutely loving it so we shall see what wonders I can come up with.

I have been on the internet and came across some cupcake wrappers so I have been cutting these out. One of my friends has her own cake business so these come in handy for her as she has to spend a fortune on wrappers if she is doing cupcakes for weddings etc. There is quite a few different designs but these are the two first ones I have cut...

I got myself in a bit of a tizzy when I done the first one as when I put a cupcake case inside it was lost inside the wrapper and so I put a muffin case inside and it still wasn't very secure so I ended up phoning my friend and she advised that she uses muffin cases for her cupcakes and when the cupcake is in the case then it expands. Needless to say I still wasn't convinced and took some of the wrappers over so I could try them on a batch of her cupcakes... and THEY FIT!! So she wasn't lying to me lol.

Favor Tags

Hey everyone,

One of my customers had approached me and asked if I could make her tags for favor boxes with her company name on it to make her products more professional, well you know me... I love a challenge so I said yes. These tags are now quite popular and a lot of people are asking me to do them for them. I have stupidly forgotten to upload a piccie of just the standard tags but anyway I had to show you these. Another of my customers had asked if I could make her favor tags as well as teacher tags.. I was a little stumped at first but then I had a great idea. Why not use my favourite stamp set from Papertrey Ink and turn them into tags. They were to be used to go onto various teacher gifts and she didn't want personalised ones.. just teacher style messages or even just teacher on them so this is what I came up with...

So what do you think?

My customer absolutely LOVED them and has took loads of pics of the tags in order... she has attached them to boxes of cupcakes and loads of other things! I will need to ask for a copy of the photos to show you them in use.

This is definately a great idea for all us crafters to do in the future with our sentiment stamp sets.

My Fantastic Birthday

Hey everyone!
Hope your all well. I have been soo soo busy lately that I don't really get the chance to come on here and update my blog so huge apologies for that!

Last Friday was my birthday (I am not disclosing my age but I am still in my 20s for the next couple of years!!!!!!) and I had an absolutely ball.

First of all I received gorgeous cards from some very talented woman over at DoCrafts after I had posted a rant about something, they all pm'd me and asked for my address and sent me cards. How nice is that. If you sent me a card then I have put a thank you message on the boards which you can see here. I would just like to say another huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent me a card and who sent me birthday messages etc, its means soo much. Your all superstars!!!!

I had the Friday off of work for my birthday and my friend Leeanne decided that me, her and her 3 kids would go down to her parent's caravan in Wemyss Bay for the weekend. We had a fantastic time and are going back for a week on 11th July!

Leeanne made me this GIANT chocolate cupcake.... I absolutely love cupcakes, especially chocolate ones so this was a brilliant birthday cake for me. Leeanne has her own cake business so it was brilliant that she could take time out of her busy schedule to make me a cake!

I was going to keep a slice for you all but I don't think it would have survived the post so we ate it!!!!

As well as all the usual things you get for birthdays I got quite a bit of money from my parents and husband.. I had asked for money as I have been saving up for something very special so they gave me money.

I had some money put by from selling some stuff and put this together with my birthday money and I had enough for my special something and also enough left over to buy another special something. I have had my eye on a Bind It All for a while so it was great to finally be able to get one. I got the pink one (of course!!) and to be honest I have had a little play with it but not done anything major yet!!

Now onto my something special!

For about a year and a half I have been on at the hubby that I really really wanted a craft robo and that I was going to save up for one... well everytime I had nearly enough money (they are expensive you know lol) something would crop up! A night out, a bill and even something breaking that needed replacing so it was always taken out of my craft robo money!

As some of you know I customise clothing using rhinestones and have been putting away the money I receive from this... I don't 'earn' money from this and to be honest by the time I have bought the item, tallied up the stones used and my time then 9 times out of 10 I am out of pocket. I have been putting the money received from this away though and together with my birthday money (minus the money for the BIA above!) I finally had enough to buy my craft robo and also some templates....

I have, of course, downloaded loads of free templates to start me off but I bought some of the more fancy templates as well as a little treat because I had some money left over. I can't wait to properly play with this machine as it should hopefully bring my crafting to a whole new level... if anyone has any tips on what I can do with this then please feel free to contact me.

I have already cut out some words, a card template and a cupcake wrapper.

I am soo in love with this machine already!!!

Teacher Gift Sets

Three posts in one day!!

I am in the midst of Take That season with tshirt orders just now. People are going crazy for them!!!!

I thought I would post some of the piccies so far of them.

Olly Murs Tshirt

Me, my little sister, my friend and her little girl are all going to the Olly Murs next week in Glasgow so of course we had to have tshirts for this occasion!

I made these tees today for us to wear on the day.

Me to You Bear Stamp

How are you all doing. I seem to be turning into a weekend blogger these days!

Things are very very hectic here at the moment.

I managed to get my hands on a copy of the DoCrafts Creativity magazine (is that the right name?!) and got the free adorable Me to You Bear stamp. I just had to use when I seen it.. soo adorable.

I made this card for my May Friendship Swap card over at DoCrafts ...

And this one I made just as a quick Birthday card...

The Happy Birthday greeting is a Me to You Bear stamp as well. Soo cute.

I have no idea why I have gone for the baby blue theme on both cards, must be because of the bear's nose!

Pocket Card Tutorial

Morning all.

As promised yesterday I have done a tutorial for you. I will try keep the talking/typing to a minimum as there is a lot of photos to go through. These pocket cards are so easy to make and can be made in all different ways, this is just the way I do them.

Take a sheet of A4 card in a colour of your choice

You can make the pocket AND the backing of the card insert from the one A4 sheet of cardstock.

Cut your cardstock at 11"

And then cut at 4 & 1/4 "

And put this piece to the side. Using the cardstock that is left cut this at 3 & 1/4" by 5".

You now have two pieces of cardstock. One measuring 11" x 4 & 14" and one measuring 3 & 1/4" x 5" like this

Now take your larger piece and score it at 5 & 1/2"

and then score again at 1 & 1/4"

Then you need to fold the score marks. Fold the card in half first and run over with your bone folder

Then fold the flap over to the outside.

You can see it starting to take shape now...

At this stage I always round my corners as it is easier to do it now than later on when it is all secured.

The attach dst (or glue of your choice) to the two outer edges from the score under the flap to the bottom of the pocket.

*Top Tip - Don't use very thick dst as your card insert will not be able to fit inside the pocket*

Remove the protective layer of the dst and then close the card over. I usually run over all the edges with my bone folder to make sure all the edges are secure and the folds are nice and neat.

Your card insert should fit inside lovely and neatly.

Thats the basics all done and you can now go onto decorating it. I will show you what I done but obviously you can do what you want from hereon in. You do have to adhere the flap down to the front of the card but I don't do this until I have decorated the front of the card.

Take a piece of cardstock, embossed cardstock, patterned paper (whatever you like) and cut to size. I like to cover the whole of the front so it isn't as footery to get it to stop before the flap etc (I like the easy life!!).

I then attach ribbon to the front of the flap..

*Top Tip - I HATE waste so if I have ribbon on a card and you can't see the back then I never have the ribbon all the way round the card and simply just attach it like this at the back*

A different view of it..

I then attach dst to the back of the flap..

Peel off the strips and secure the flap down.

You free to do what you want in relation to the insert. I always put a 1" strip of card/paper (whatever matches the front!) and then when it is sitting in the pocket it looks nice and pretty.

Attach the strip to the top of the insert...

To make the little tab for pulling the insert out I use a circle punch, but you can use whatever you want to use...

Punch the circle out and fold in half using a bone folder for a crisp fold.

Place the fold over the top of the insert and glue into place.

I then added a message that my friend had given me which is personal to her so don't want to post it on here. You just measure it and then either put a picture, a poem or even a personal message (whatever you want really) and glue it onto the insert and your finished.

If I have rounded the corners on the pocket card then I round the two top corners of the insert so it matches.

I decorated more of the front by tying a knot onto the ribbon, adding a stamped image and a greeting.

Here is my 2nd post of the day. Another short one am afraid.

Just wanted to quickly show you these pocket cards I made today.

One of my friends had seen the one I had made for my mum and asked if I could make her two. One for her granma and one for her sister. She had wrote special messages to be put on them as well so they are soo special to her.

As a special treat for you all I took some photos while making the pink and white pocket card and tomorrow there will be a tutorial on how I make these pocket cards.

LOTV Anniversary Card

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been AWOL again. Been a busy buzzy bumble bee these days.

I started off May on quite good terms with my blog, think I done four posts over two days and now I have been missing.

I made this card last week for my mum and (step) dad's wedding anniversary.

This is the first time I have used this image and it actually took me a few goes of inking and stamping to get it correct, has anyone else had this trouble! I was getting quite irate and was actually considering throwing the stamp out the window as I was getting soo annoyed.

After much huffing and puffing I managed to get it to stamp properly. I don't know what I was doing wrong but not to worry, all stamped and coloured now.

I was inspired today when I sat down at my craft desk because it was all soo neat and tidy. I decided to make something different so decided to do a post it note organiser. I have NEVER made one of these before so I am soo pleased with how this has turned out.

This one is for me and I will likely keep it on my desk in work as I am always using post it notes in work! I like the little pocket on the left hand side but I don't know what to store in there yet! Any ideas welcome?

Altered Beer Mats

Sorry haven't posted in almost a week but I have been enjoying all the lovely weather and of course the Royal Wedding.

I had another clearout yesterday but not of craft stuff and was merely a clear out of the junk we have lying around the house. Definately got a clearing out bug at the moment!!

I pestered my husband and his friends some time ago to get me some beer mats whenever they were out at the pub so during my craft clear over the last week I found a bundle of them that I have never used so decided to turn these into some quick and easy post it note holders. The clips at the top mean that they have be hung onto a hook and you can even slot a pen underneath the clips.

The beer mats are so easy to customise and use up your scrap pieces and all you actually need to buy is your post its and the clips which can both be picked up in packs so are pretty inexpensive to make.

Make Your Own Ribbon Holder

Hey everyone,

I have mentioned in other blogposts how I am trying to sort out my craft stash so that things are more easy to find. I am slowly but surely getting there after a trip to Ikea.

I had one major problem area (after the cardstock and scraps which has now been sorted!!) and that was my ribbon drawer! It was a nightmare trying to find anything in that drawer and it could sometimes take me longer to find the ribbon I wanted to use than it did to make an actual card. I have wanted to tackle this drawer for ages but didn't know what to do with it all. I have ribbon that is still on rolls and these were easy to store using Ikea goodies but for all the loose pieces of ribbon I had no idea what to do. I know you can buy ribbon holders and you can wrap the ribbon around and these can be stored this way but I didn't really want to be spending a lot of money of storage ideas and decided to try and make my own ribbon holders. This has luckily been a success and that is why I am sharing it with you now. As there are 12 pictures I will try not to talk all the way through the post so as not to bore you. I promise this will only take you a minute of two to make and is such a big help! There are many many variations on how to make these but this is how I have done it.

You will need a sheet of A5 card, double sided tape (of your choice, could be a mouse, ATG gun or just regular dst), a bone folder and some elastic bands. If I knew I was making these I would have used all the one colour of bands but this is all stuff I had lying around the house.

Take your A5 card ...

And fold it in half making it A6 using your bone folder to make a neat fold ...

And then in half again to make it A7 again using your bone folder ...

Open it all back out...

Add your dst to the whole bottom section of the card (you can't really see where I have glued.. grrr!!!)...

And fold over once again to secure.

Add glue to the bottom section of this fold and fold over again leaving you with a lovely A7 card...

That is it finished! Once you have made one you will see exactly what I mean and you will be making loads of these (hopefully!!).

Here is what it looks like with ribbon wrapped around it...

This is how my ribbon is now stored and makes it soo much easier to see what ribbon I have at a glance without having to go rummaging all the time.

I also had some scrap ribbon so I put them in these little bags and have stored them like this.

I hope this has been of some help to you and that you will maybe consider making your own ribbon holders instead of buying them. It means you can spend the money on more stash instead of storage.

The only thing I would say about this is when you are getting ribbon to put onto your holders that you should try and get similar lengths as if you wrap some around that is a lot shorter than another piece then they won't be the same thickness which means when you put your elastics on then they will cling to the thickest part of the ribbon and won't hold it all equally so the thinner pieces could come loose. You will see what I mean when you do it.

Hello everyone,

Sorry that I haven't been around much lately but I haven't actually made a lot of cards or other crafty stuff in the last week or so. I have been in organisation mode and wanted all my craft stuff sorted out and organised so I have been working on that. I still have a long way to go but I am getting there slowly!

Anyway back to this post. It is my mum's birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM and as always I had to come up with a card and some handmade items for her as presents.

I was going to give you the recipes for everything but then I thought I better not bore you all.

Here is the card ...

My mum is one very fussy lady and is impossible to buy for! She doesn't wear perfume or make up, she doesn't like bath bombs, she hates flowers so every time I need to get her a present I am stumped. I decided to be a little cheeky and make 'flowers' out of pipe cleaners and this is a piccy of them...

These were very easy to make and my mum loved them.

I also made her a little memory jar to keep all her family inspired memories in.

I love this stamp on the top of the lid...

I also decided to attempt to make her some notecards so she can write notes to people...

These were very easy to make as was the holder...

The problem I had was finding envelopes that fitted in the holder...

I had to make do with these just now even though they stick out the top when the holder is closed...

As a little added extra I decided to make her a laminated bookmark with her favourite piccies from my wedding...

I did get her other gifts as well but they weren't made by me so there is no point in posting them on here. Thankfully my mum loved all her gifts so that is the main thing.

If anyone wants to know how to make anything in this post (or any other post on my blog) then let me know and I will do a picture tutorial for you no bother. I have had a few people email me asking me how I make the post it note with pen holders etc and I will try and get some tutorials made up over the next couple of weeks to show you all.

Very Quick Makes - Cards

Ohh 2nd post of the day! Ohh I am spoiling you!!

After spending a couple of hours yesterday making 57 bookmarks (still can't believe it was that many!!) I decided that I really needed to have more cards made up and in stock for any craft fairs or friends that need a card! Some people like to come to house to visit and while here they like to look through my card box and buy some of my cards but I don't have a lot made up so thought I would make some quickly using the computer and then add some little bits and pieces to them to jazz them up.

I managed to make 17 of these cards today. I did have fun making them but I was very much outwith my comfort zone as there was no stamping, colouring, backing papers or layout arranging to be done.

Here is a few piccies of the cards for you to have a nose at...

These are definately not my most favourite cards that I have ever made but I think they are quite cute and they will certainly bulk out my card box which is all I wanted to do.

Very Quick Makes - Bookmarks

Hey everyone,

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Have been very busy. We went away for a week's holiday then when I came home I decided to sort out my craft stash as it was getting into a ridiculous mess and I couldn't remember what stash I did have and what I didn't. I managed to get all my card stock sorted and my scraps so they are all neatly organised into colour groups (yes even the scraps!!). Hubby says I have OCD but it is soo much easier to find things! I got annoyed with the amount of scrap patterned paper and had and decided to make some bookmarks with them.

I get asked quite a lot to do craft fairs but it is usually at very short notice and I don't have enough time to realistically make a lot of stock up so I thought I would make the bookmarks with the scraps and then stamp them and laminate them.

I don't know how this happened but I ended up making 57 BOOKMARKS!!!! Can you believe that?! Here is some piccies of them for you to have a little look at...

I am actually really pleased with how they have turned out and will definately make more but for now I am not making anymore as they are soo addictive!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mums out there! I hope your little darlings are all on their best behaviour and have got you all lovely cards.

This is a scheduled post as I am away in Lincolnshire for a little holiday with my mum, dad, sister, brother and husband for the week so I have set some scheduled posts as I have been neglecting my poor little blog lately!

I thought I would show you the card I made for my mum and also the pocket card I made with a lovely little poem in same. I can't tell you the reaction to the card and pocket card though as, at the time of typing this post, my mum hasn't received these goodies.

I absolutely love LOTV, purple, swarovski and glitter so I decided to combine all these times for my mum's card (I hope she likes purple!).

I found a lovely poem online that I wanted to give to my mum but wasn't sure how to present it. I remembered that a while ago I had seen some lovely pocket cards and thought this was ideal. I found some various different instructions on how to make these cards and decided to just mix them up a little and this is what I came up with...

A different kind of candle...

Hey everyone,

Here is the first of my scheduled posts which I promised you.

One of my friends asked me to make a candle for her best friend and this is what I came up with...

I was a little lazy and just used peel offs to stick onto the candle instead of stamping the words 'best friend'.

I know that the majority of people who receive these sorts of candles do not burn them and keep them as gifts so it is safe enough if any of you are worrying.

OMG!!!! Boyzone!!!

Hello everyone!

Well what an absolutely fantastic night me and my friends had at the Boyzone concert on Saturday night. We ended up meeting Ronan!!!!!!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I thought I would share a couple of the photos with you from the concert and not take up too much of your swooning time!!

Me and my friends came home and what started as a little joke turned out serious. We joked that we were going to find the boy's hotel and goodness knows how we done it but we did!!!!!!

We turned up just as Ronan and Keith were lighting a lantern in memory of Stephen. I was very blessed to be one of only 5 fans who witnesses this beautiful moment. Keith gave a lovely little speech and then the lantern was released...

Only Ronan and Keith were there. Shane had went out for the night and Mikey was in another hotel staying apparently.

Anyway after the lantern was set off the boys went back inside but we asked Yvonne (Ronan's wife) if they would mind coming back outside just for a minute for a photograph. She is absolutely lovely and said she would ask for us and then out of nowhere literally two seconds later Ronan came out. He admired the tshirts I had made and absolutely loved the one I had designed for my friend Leeanne (massive Stephen fan!) to wear and he even got his photo took with the back of the tshirt.

I am still in shock that Ronan Keating commented on tshirts I made.. not only that but he absolutely loved the back of Leeanne's tshirt which I designed and made up for her!!

We never got to meet the other boys and Keith didn't come back outside but Ronan was absolutely lovely and we all had a fantastic night!! I took nearly 100 photos but I didn't want to post them all on here and bore you all so only chose a few!

Hello everyone,

Just a very quick post today. I need to go get ready as going with friends to see Boyzone in the SECC.

My friends asked me to make the tshirts for going to the concert and this is what I came up with....

We all have the same fronts apart from the stones on mine are hot pink. I like to be a little bit different. My friend Leeanne is a HUGE Boyzone fan and has been to see them every single year in all different places and was absolutely in love with Stephen so she was devastated when he died. She asked me to make the back of her tshirt really really special as a tribute to him so this is the design we came up with....

My other friend just wanted her name on the back of hers....

I left the back of mine plain as we have bustle belts to wear as well and I didn't want to be OTT. Okay okay, I am just kidding... I never had enough time to do something on the back of mine so just left it plain... but we do have bustle belts to wear!

I have been singing 'bend over let me see you shake a tail feather' since they arrived on Thursday!! My poor husband!

SECC - Hobby Crafts and Creative Stitches Show 4th March 2011

Morning everyone!

A lot of people have asked me to show them what purchases I made at the SECC show yesterday so I thought it would just be a helluva lot easier to put them all on my blog for you to have a nose at than try and and upload the piccies to Facebook and DoCrafts....

I went first thing in the morning and had left by lunchtime as it was starting to get really really busy and far too crowded. It was getting to the point you couldn't get past stalls with the amount of people watching demos etc. You couldn't even get to see half the demos by the time I left! I did manage to see some of the demos earlier on which was brilliant as it always gives you lots of ideas and inspiration!

I was so excited to see that LOTV and Sugar Nellie were there as these are two of my 'favourites' at the moment. However, I treated myself to some LOTV goodies last week (in preparation for the SECC!!) so that I didnt have to try and split my money between these two stalls as I really would have done that. I set myself a budget of £200 and used the money from my earnings at last week's ladie's night and topped it up with other earnings so all in all it was really money I had earned from my crafting over the last few weeks that funded my SECC venture. I managed to spend exactly £200, now how is that for bang on target?!! I have to say I could have spent sooo much more though! Especially at the Sugar Nellie stall!

We will get onto the piccies now and I will stop boring you all. I have 15 pics in total for you and I am going to try my best to remember where I got everything.. this is a challenge for me!!!!!

First pic is of course the show guide! The doors were to open at 9.30am but me being me was there for 8.45am so we had a coffee etc and my hubby bought this guide at about 9.10am to try and occupy me while we waited in the queue which was building up by this time! I didn't last long as was just too excited lol.

Here is a piccie of everything that I bought on the day... (Do you think I have an addiction to stamps??!!!)

The Sugar Nellie stall was AMAZING!!! I could easily have stood there all day looking and touching all the gorgeous stamps! Karen from the DT was there looking very glam I have to say and I had a chat with her about all the stamps and blogs and a few other things! She even informed me that she has to ask people if they know of Sugar Nellie as some people have never heard of them? WHAT?!!!! You are kidding aren't you Karen?!!!!! (I don't think she was thought!!)

Anyway there was some fabulous deals on for the stamps so I HAD to buy a mixture of stamps and even got some from the new 2011 range!!

The stamps were 5 for £20 and the Gorjuss Girl stamps were 3 for £12.

I also got some little gifts thrown in. I got these cute stamps...

And a sheet of A5 card with images printed on either side. This is one side...

I don't know how I am going to decide which images to use as that will destroy the other side..eeek!!!!!

I FINALLY have got myself some Martha Stewart punches.. yay!!!!!!

I really couldn't decide what ones I wanted and after a lot of toing and froing and decided on these two. They were only £15 each so I thought that was a bit of bargain as they are the punch around the page ones....

For ages I have been drawn towards the S.W.A.L.K stamps as I keep seeing them in magazines and adverts in magazines for them and always really wanted them so I decided to treat myself.

I ended up with the cd of backing papers and 12 of the stamp sets for £40. If I were to buy all this separately then this would have been £62.87. Thats quite a good saving ....

I also treated myself to some new Nesties... I have 2 lots of nesties already but to be honest I don't really use them and I know that just now they are the 'in' thing so I decided to get them. They were 2 for £30 which isn't a huge saving to be honest but I got them anyway.

Next onto card. I, like most cardmakers/crafters, love card. I love all different colours, textures, thickness etc etc and love getting a good deal on card.

The Papeterie were there and you could fill the box pictured with A4 card for £5. I managed to get loads into mine as did a lot of other people so it was worth every pennie...

It doesn't look like much card in the pictures but it honestly is loads... I just haven't spread them all out properly and focused more on showing you all the different colours. I wish I could show you all the different textures and thickness as well.

I met the lovely girls from Glitter Magic! As any followers of my blog know I absolutely LOVE sparkly things.. be it rhinestones or glitter... I love it! So I was instantly drawn to their stall!

I went over to purchase some new glitters in various colours and ended up buying glue, fine tip, dst, glitters and pots all for the bargain price of £12.50 I may add!!!

You may wonder what the fine tip does but it does sooo much that I ca't even begin to describe! Look out for it in some up and coming projects... you may even see it on some clothes!! Ohhh....

The girl at Glitter Magic done this for me using the fine tip...

I am also a sucker for ribbons.... so I just had to pop into Crafty Ribbons to see what offers they have on. The ribbons were 6 for £5 so how could I resist.. I ended up buying 12! Haha.

I got these goodies from a stall on my way out and I can't remember their name.. I am soo sorry!!!!!

Anyway the 12x12 papers were reduced to £2.50 so I had to get 2 packs of the Dovecraft Piece of Cake as I am loving these just now and I also got 2 Smirk packs. They had a few other packs but the papers weren't really to my taste so I didn't get them. The dst was 14 rolls for £5!!!

Well thats it.. that is all I got for my £200!!! Can you believe it... just like that it was all gone! But in its place is a mega happy smiley Carrie!!!

Roll on October for the next one... I have plenty of time to save up so might put myself on a little craft diet!!!! Hahaha who am I trying to kid?!! It will have to be a craft cut down!!!!!

My Very First Fayre

I didn't get the chance to take a lot of piccies but one of my little cousins took some piccies before people started arriving.

It was a really good night and I came away with a profit which is always a good thing!

I have now signed up to do another fayre in May in the same place and have been asked if I want to have a stall at a school fayre which I have said yes to so I will be busy busy. I really want to get some new designs out by then so will have something to work towards.

I am going to the SECC fayre on Friday (as a buyer!!) and will no doubt spend an absolute bomb so hopefully I invest wisely in new papers etc to further my crafting!!

As I have never done anything like this before I would very much appreciate if any of you could give me any advice in relation to layouts etc.

Mother's Day Cards and Candles

Good afternoon everyone!

I am absolutely shattered today but the sun is shining and I have all the windows open in the house so I this makes me feel soo much better about everything!

Anyway as promised I am going to show you some piccies and let you know how things went at the Ladies Night on Friday where I was showcasing my work at my very first fair!! EEEEKKKK!!!

I was soo nervous and was panicking right up until the last minute and had quite an entourage with me which included my Auntie Babs, my mum, my cousin Shannon and my other cousin Shareena! So a huge THANK YOU to those four for helping keep me cool, calm and collected and for helping me set up my table. To be honest they done the majority of setting up the table but I will tell you more about that in a later post today and will show you pics of my table.

Here is some of the stock I done for the night. You might remember that I added a Mother's Day card that I had done in black and white well I decided to keep with the same theme as was simple and effective but to do it in different colours.....

I done blue, black and pink in Gran, Mum, Nana and just Happy Mother's Day... but I won't bore you with pics of each and every single one or we would be here all day.

I also done some candles...

Don't you just love the LOTV stamp on the candle.. I love it!!!! Almost like it more than the Forever Friends bear which is a big thing for me!!!

I will be back shortly with some of my sparkly stock and then will show you some of my table....three posts in one day has got to be some sort of record for me!!!!

Post It Note Holders

My computer FINALLY uploaded the pictures of the post it note holders .

I am taking these with me on Friday for on my table at the Ladies' Night.

I am concentrating on my stoned clothing but I dont have a lot of stock of that in and most people prefer to have them completely customised with names etc on them so there isnt a lot of point in me having a lot of stuff made up!! I have contacted friends and family that I have done stuff for and they are going to bring their stuff along on the day as samples and also have a photo album on display.

I was scared the table would be too bear though so I am going to bulk it out with cards, candles and post it note holders..

Mother's Days Cards

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much! Have been loaded with the cold and also had a lot of work on. I have been asked to have a table at a Ladies' Night on Friday and have not got a lot of stuff to take with me. I have made up a photo album of all my sparkly clothing and am going to have that on my table but want to have cards and post it note holders etc there so I have been working on some quick designs that I can make up quickly and are still effective. This is some of the designs I have came up with so far..

Anti Valentine Card Swap

Bookmarks

Have been getting asked for ages to make some bookmarks. So decided today was the day!

My little brother is absolutely obsessed with Cheryl Cole so there was only one choice for his bookmark.

I used Microsoft Word to insert the piccies and printed out from there.

I have also laminated the bookmark to keep it long lasting.

I also made this double sided Glee bookmark for my little sister who is a Gleek like me!

Her favourite character is Brittany so she asked that Brittany was on one side and everyone else on the other side. Again this was made using Microsoft Word and laminated once printed.

My friend Emma had asked me a while ago if I could make her 3 bookmarks for her to use with her course work. She told me what images she wanted me to use and asked that some glitter was used. This is what I came up with...

I couldn't laminate these 3 bookmarks as they were too bulky with the layered image and name! But they are just as effective.

I really think I need to go on some sort of photography course as I am absolutely rubbish at taking photos!!

Hen Night Tees - FINALLY

Hey everyone!

I am going to try and keep the talking to a bear minimum for this post as there are 12 pictures! Sorry!!!!

A while ago a friend of a friend got in touch, she had seen my tshirt and hoody work and wanted to know if I would be able to the hen night tshirts for her sister. She wanted them to be special and totally unique as obviously her sister means the world to her. She told me that her sister is normally the person who sorts out the tshirts for other hens and she didnt want the 'same old' hen tshirt. She wanted BLING!!!! As you know BLING IS MY THING.

After some emailing back and forward she told me what she wanted and I got to work on designing the tshirts. She wanted 13 tshirts altogether and she wanted 7 of them to have stuff on the back like Bride, Bridesmaid (then their name) etc etc.

There was just one tiny little problem! The bride to be was to know NOTHING about these tshirts as apparently she can be quite sneaky so she would have been able to find out about them if I have so much as mentioned them anywhere on here or Facebook etc so I have known about these tshirts for absolutely ages... September/October(?) time and have had to keep quiet until now! Do you know how hard that is?! I have been given permission to now show these to the world as the hen weekend has just happened and the big secret is out!! Luckily everyone loved the tshirts.

Quick Challenge Card

Hey everyone!

How you all doing?

I think I may have made the quickest card of my life today. I wanted to enter a challenge or two and decided to make a men's card as I need loads of practice with them and I ended up making this card in about 15 mins! I have NEVER made a card in that amount of time in my life as I am such a fusspot and move things around loads before I glue them down.

Altered Notebooks and a Post It Note Holder

Hi all.

I was a little bored this morning so had a little play at my craft desk. I decided to alter two little notebooks and make a post it note holder. Normally with the post it note holders I make the ones that have the little pen bit at the side but I decided to just make a plain old one this time.

First up is this altered notebook with has the gorgeous Tilda.

I just had to use this image again, you will remember I made a card yesterday which had her on it and this almost matches the card although this has more glitter.

Loretta's Monday Challenge No 109

Hello again! Told you I would be back.

Loretta over on DoCrafts has set another Monday challenge (No 109) which was running from 17th to 30th January 2011.

Loretta is fantastic at her challenges and is always ready with a fantastic layout for us all to follow. The one this time was quite tricky due to the ribbon but I think I have managed to do it justice.

As well as having a fantastic layout she also wanted out cards to be Pretty in Pink and we were to use lovely pastel pinks.

DoCrafts Sunday Stamping Challenge

Good afternoon all.

Another challenge card for you all today.

I uploaded this card to my DoCrafts gallery last night so if you were on there you will all ready have seen this card.

DecOCards set the Sunday Stamping Challenge which was to run from 16th to 29th January.

There was a recipe for this card.

In addition to your stamped imaged you had to have 1x patterned paper, 1x ribbon, 2x flowers and 3x gems. These had to all be in toning shades of 1 colour.

So do you like it?

As you will see from the recipe of my card I have written that the flowers and ribbon were customised by me. I wanted to let you know how I done these.

The ribbon started off as just plain old white ribbon and I took my Promarker pen and ran it along the ribbon with the same green pen as I used to colour in Kayla's dress.

For the flowers I used my Dovecraft punch to punch out 2 flowers from white cardstock then I coloured them in with the same green pen (again!) and then ran over them with a glue pen and sprinkled glitter over the top.

If you want me to do a tutorial for these then please let me know but I promise you it is really easy to do and anyone can do it.

January Friendship Card Swap

I entered another swap over at DoCrafts and thought I would show you my card and the card I received. The swap was a January Friendship card swap and I was partnered with Eneri.

How gorgeous is her card? Seriously, I love it!!! I can't decide where to put it and keep changing its location! I am soo indecisive!

Anyway I just thought I would quickly pop on and show you these.

DoCrafts Wallet Card Swap

Hello everyone!

Hope your all well.

I entered another swap on the DoCrafts forums. This time it was a swap of wallet cards. I have never made a wallet card before so this was a bit of a challenge for me. I got paired with Redrottie who, thankfully, has a fantastic tutorial in her gallery of how to make a wallet card so I was very lucky.

Here is the wallet card I made...

I stupidly forgot to take a picture of the inside but I kept it plain and it has a pocket on the two pages so you can put in whatever you want.

How fantastic is this... it was a different take on a wallet card and the pictures do not do it justice!!

DoCrafts A5 Goody Bag Swap

Hello again!

I told you a few posts ago that I have been entering challenges on the DoCrafts forums and I have also been entering swaps! These are an absolute fantastic idea.

The first one I entered was the A5 Goody Bag Swap where you have to fill as many craft items from your stash into an A5 card bag (or food bag!) and swap with whoever your partner is. My swap partner was NicolaJayne and these are the items we sent each other.

Princess Tilda

Hi everyone!

Sorry not been around much, have had a lot on.

I made this card the other night and this is me just getting the chance to show you it.

I bought the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts some time ago and this is the very first time I have every used them. Terrible I know!!!

I think I may have overdosed on glitter... whoops!

As you can see I went a little crazy with the Stickles and ended up using it to go around the outside of the papers and rubbed it in with my fingers so was absolutely COVERED in glitter!!!

Like a right idiot I have forgotten what papers I used... Normally I write the card recipe on a post it and stick it inside the card until I have posted it on here then I throw the post it away but I was soo caught up with the glitter and making a mess that I never done this! And now I can't find the papers for the life of me!! Sorry! If I ever remember, or find the papers, then I will let you know!!

This is another one of my DoCraft challenge cards.

This one is for Loretta's Monday Challenge No 108. This challenge runs from 3rd January to 16th January 2011 so you will still have time to put your name down and get your card made and uploaded.

Loretta's challenges are always to a layout but this one was to feature your favourite stamped image and this bit was a bit tricky for me!

Forever Friends Challenge Card

Hey everyone!

As I told you in an earlier post I have started entering challenges on the DoCrafts forums.

The first one I have signed up for is a Forever Friends one. Regular readers of my blog will know that I absolutely love Forever Friends bears and use them a lot in my cards so this challenge was ideal for me.

The challenge was set by Laineymo and there was a small recipe for the card:-
